ISTR Conference Registration Closed

Due to record high registration numbers reaching the 725 mark, and in consultation with our local conference hosts at Ersta Skondal University, ISTR has closed registration for the 12th International Conference in Stockholm, Sweden.

We have established a waitlist for those still interested in participating.

This is the first time in our history that we have had to cap levels of conference participants, and we view this, along with the surge in new members attending the event, as evidence of the increasing relevance and importance of ISTR in bringing scholars and practitioners together from around the world.

For those of you attending, please keep an eye out for an email that will be arriving soon asking for you to RSVP to the opening and closing receptions.  Your RSVP to this email is REQUIRED if you want to participate in these events for security purposes.

Could you possibly post an alert here on the blog as well once you sent out the email about registering/RSVP for the opening and closing reception? I have not found a way on the main website to read past listserv-Group Newsletter and just had the one of April 6th again displayed in my inbox as an Inside ISTR available from 2012. Thanks so much! I can’t wait to see you all in Stockholm!

Thank you! We are still trying to work out a system to efficiently manage RSVPs for these events so we haven’t posted anything yet. We hope to send emails out about this soon! And yes, will CERTAINLY post an update here when we have more information.

Congratulations on such a large registration. Great news for ISTR! Unfortunately I was not able to try to register until now because of possible other commitments. So, I am trying to get on the waiting list, but I can’t see how to do that? Is there a wait list registration mechanism somewhere?
    Thanks

Thanks – we are frustrated to have to turn people away and are currently working on options for getting more space. In the meantime, send an email to istr_secretariat@jhu.edu to be put on the waitlist. I can add your name now but need an email from you to confirm how to be in touch in the future.
